Diane Von Furstenberg is an absolute style god to me. She was one of the very first fashion girls that I was obsessed with and the first time I laid eyes on her, I knew I wanted to know everything I could about her. This isnt going to be a DVF tutorial, more like a spotlight on her beauty. Since she's in the news this week with her husband announcing his fluid sexuality, it felt like a great time to revisit her and her iconic wrap dress. DVF is a german designer who is credited with making the wrap dress what it is today...a style staple. Everyone looks good in a wrap dress. Everyone, every body, every time. Long wrap dress, short wrap dress, mid length wrap dress. Her style is long and flowing and effortless glamour with bold patterns and colors. I think I was really first drawn to her because she reminded me of my great aunt Ida who was the coolest and best person I ever I knew. DVF and aunt Ida had he same style and the same voice and even the same mannerisms. There was a reality show called House of DVF and it was such a fun show to watch because you got to see her as a boss but also as a woman boss, she was very firm, but also I believe she's a girls girl, and that was fun and easy to watch. It's streaming on Amazon if you want a quick fashion binge! Disco, 70's, Mrs Roper is my favorite fashion genre and Diane Von Furstenberg fits the bill every time.
